If you can speak then you can sing - it's just a matter of learning a few basic skills and being given encouragement and motivation along the way.
Sing for Fun run various singing workshops which give people the opportunity to find their voice in a relaxed, friendly and supportive atmosphere with experienced vocal coach Jane Cole. There is no need to be able to read music or for any previous singing experience.
The aim of our singing workshops is to help build confidence in singing and give people the opportunity to sing as part of a group. No one has to sing by themselves and there is no audition to join. A wide range of genres are covered including pop, rock, traditional songs and musical theatre.
Techniques for correct breathing, support and pitch are covered at the start of each workshop together with fun vocal warm-ups. Emphasis is placed on the overall sound as a whole group and getting voices to blend.
