PARKSIDE WALL UPDATE

Just popped on to see the gent who is repairing this wall.

Nearly done, toppers going on next.

Turns out he knows me from my BMB Building Materials days ( that's at least 25 years).

He tells me the near misses he's seen with speeding motorists not realising there is a roundabout in situ.

I'll be contacting Highways again to see if any more signs can go up.

BINS EMPTIED AGAIN

The 2 bins between Hawshaw Lane and Upper Hoyland Road emptied again. Pink bags left at side of a litter bin and reported for collection.

Nice to see people using them. I'd dread to think what litter would be spread about if not.

Just goes to prove, people do use bins when they are about. Something I've been passionate about since 1st elected in 2023.

GREEN BINS UPDATE..

I feel it's about time people were informed about procedures for the collection of green bins.

Councils do NOT have to provide/ collect them. Of the Councils that do provide these, 70% charge. I'm led to believe Sheffield charge £80 and Rotherham £70 per year.

Mandatory bins are grey, blue, brown.

Because there are delays in collecting the Mandatory bins, green bins go to bottom of list.

I, like other Councillors, I'm sure, are getting endless enquiries about green bins. I feel like a cut and paste man with my replies.

I do believe the Council could have put this message out themselves. They may have, but i haven't read anything.

Can you please share this post to as many people as possible.

And just to inform you all, mine doesn't get collected either.
