Scott regularly shares his thoughts and work through his blog, 1stMetalBLOG, where his writing has evolved from personal reflections and observations to more structured content, including top ten lists, guidance, and advice. In 2016, Scott began exploring digital publishing and was commissioned to write two ebooks for Aberdare-based music label Cylent Beatz. These included a short piece on confidence and a practical guide to using social media, both of which were published through the label. Later that year, Scott independently released his first ebook, an Attack on Titan fan fiction titled Shiro’s Tale of Terror!, published on 19 September 2016. This marked an important milestone in his journey as an independent writer. Following this, Scott undertook a more ambitious project, combining his curiosity and creativity to explore the cultural and emotional impact of gaming. With support and input from close friends, he completed and released A History of Love: Why Do We Love Video Games? (THIS EBOOK IS GETTING AN UPGRADE CHECK BACK SOON FOR MORE)

In May 2017, he re-released his earlier work originally published with Cylent Beatz. Since then, Scott has continued to develop new ideas, working on original stories, fan fiction, and revisiting unfinished projects from previous years. At the end of 2023, several of Scott’s ebooks—previously available for free through Cylent Beatz and Orangedox were removed following the closure of those platforms. These works have since been republished and remain accessible via his blog at 1stmetalblog.blogspot.com. Scott continues to write, create, and develop new ideas, with more projects planned for the future.
