After carrying out our meticulous data logging process alongside the team at Ecotune HQ, the final results were seriously impressive:

🌶️😱 STAGE 3 CUPRA POWERMAX 2 – 556BHP & 445LBFT ON 99RON 😱🌶️

We recently welcomed Sam to Ignite after he began experiencing drivability issues with his already stage 3 Cupra.

Following a telephone call discussing the symptoms and behaviour of the car, we were able to narrow the issue down to a damaged turbocharger. Once stripped and inspected, it was clear the turbo had suffered foreign object damage, with the compressor fins heavily damaged and no longer operating efficiently.

After discussing the options with Sam, he decided to go ahead with our proven Stage 3 package, built using the components we recommend for achieving 500+ bhp. Before any tuning work began, we carried out our full pre-tuning inspection and maintenance process — especially important after a turbo failure.

As part of the process, we upgraded the existing fuel system and replaced the oversized downpipe — because in this case, bigger definitely wasn’t better 😉

Our comprehensive inspection included:

✅ Boost pipe removal & inspection
✅ Intercooler inspection
✅ Injector testing
✅ Compression test
✅ Bore scope inspection
✅ Boost pressure test
✅ Full visual inspection

Once everything checked out healthy, we supplied and fitted the following:

With the hardware installed and the vehicle flashed back to stock, we worked closely with the team at Ecotune to begin calibration and data logging. The Cupra produced an incredible 556bhp and 445lbft on 99RON fuel 🌶️🤯

This is the highest figure we’ve seen from a POWERMAX 2 setup here at Ignite — backed up by exceptionally clean logs and a graph that speaks for itself 🥵

Final road testing was then carried out by Owen and James to ensure everything performed exactly as it should under real-world conditions… and “stomach turning” would be putting it lightly 🚀
