Grabart saves resources by diverting tonnes of scrap from skips/landfill, using it for art before recycling it. Grabart Scrapstore idea is different. It has the potential to save MORE resources than other scrapstores because it uses the internet and telephone to network and does not collect and store waste. In this way Grabart can support existing scrapstores and the postal/parcel delivery services. Artists contribute to a GRABART Gallery of their chosen artwork, which is used to illustrate recycling in ART, and sales of ART on the GRABART GALLERY help raise money for developing the GRABART service or for other community environmental projects.
