Retour sur le 9e Congrès mondial contre la peine de mort : la culture, une voix pour l’abolition
Durant le Congrès, la Maison de la Radio et de l’Assemblée nationale ont accueilli des expositions et des performances illustrant la diversité des regards engagés contre la peine de mort. Rescapés du couloir de la mort, journalistes ou étudiants, tous ont utilisé l’art pour exprimer leurs souffrances, leurs espoirs et leur combat pour l’abolition universelle.

Looking Back at the 9th World Congress Against the Death Penalty: Culture as a Voice for Abolition
Throughout the Congress, the Maison de la Radio and the French National Assembly hosted exhibitions and performances showcasing the diversity of artistic engagement against the death penalty. Death row survivors, journalists, and young artists used art to express their suffering, hopes, and commitment to universal abolition.

⛓️ « Arts & Death Row » featured works by former death row prisoner Daniel Gwynn alongside paintings by Tony Egbuna Ford and Kristopher Love, currently on death row in Texas, highlighting the racial inequalities of the U.S. criminal justice system.
