Today marks the end of another day in the field—but it’s only the beginning of a journey we will walk together over the next 12–18 months.

To every family who welcomed the REFLECT Fiji team into your home, vinaka vakalevu. Your trust means more than words can express. This first visit is the start of a partnership as we continue to return, listen, learn, and walk alongside your community throughout the study.

To our incredible field team, thank you for your unwavering commitment. Through the heat, the long hours, and the many kilometres travelled, you continue to serve with humility, compassion, and purpose. Your dedication is laying the foundation for something that will have a lasting impact on the health and wellbeing of our communities.

We’re getting closer to our recruitment target, but this is only the first chapter. Many more visits, conversations, and shared moments lie ahead. Together, we’ll continue this journey—one household, one family, and one community at a time.

Vinaka vakalevu to everyone who is walking this journey with us. The best is still to come. ❤️🇫🇯

Every step tells a story of commitment, and every house reached brings us closer to the finish line.

To our incredible REFLECT field team—thank you for continuing to go the extra mile, keeping your eyes on the target, and showing up every single day with courage, humility, and unwavering dedication. Through long walks, challenging conditions, and countless hours in the field, your passion to serve our communities has never faded.

We’re now just a few houses away from reaching our target. This milestone belongs to every team member who gave their time, energy, and heart, and to every community leader, participant, partner, and supporter who stood beside us throughout this journey.

Together, we’ve proven that when purpose leads the way, no distance is too far and no challenge is too great.

One final push. Let’s finish strong. 💙🏡

Some days are harder than others.

The early mornings, the long walks from house to house, the endless conversations, the heat, the rain, and the physical exhaustion are beginning to catch up with us. Yet every morning, the REFLECT Fiji field team puts on a smile, picks up their bags, and heads back into the community with the same purpose—to serve.

As we continue recruitment in Vanuakula Village, we’re reminded that meaningful research is built on people who choose to keep going, even when they’re tired.

To our incredible field team, thank you. Thank you for every sacrifice, every encouraging word to one another, every extra mile walked, and every door knocked on. Your dedication is helping shape research that will improve lives for generations to come.

The finish line is finally coming into view. We may be exhausted, but we are stronger than our fatigue. Together, we’ll keep moving forward—one household, one family, one step at a time.

Keep believing. Keep pushing. We’re almost there. ❤️💙
