Helsinki, late April 2025. The main photo focus is obviously the dancing, but the set also includes a few more touristic ferry and Helsinki photos and several late-night clean-up photos.

I had a lot of fun in Helsinki, with enough time for both documenting and dancing. Thank you, organisers, for recruiting me, and thank you all lovely blues dancers!

After an amazing weekend full of quality live music and lovely dancing comes Monday, which means even more dancing if you’re up to it! We’ll have a little after party with DJ music at our regular Blues Dance Monday in pub Thirsty Scholar (Fabianinkatu 37) between 19-21 ish. Come have a last dance with your favorite dancers or sit down to chat with your new friends. The after party is free of charge and open to all.

Registration closes in two days, on Tuesday April 22 at 23:59 EEST! Make sure you have your full weekend pass or single night tickets and get ready to let the good times roll. You don’t want to miss this party weekend with all the fantastic artists and music we have for you, and don’t forget all the new friends you’re going to make. Our Sunday party is going to be a vappu theme party! But what is vappu? It’s a national holiday and celebration of spring, with extra focus on students and the working class, but pretty much everyone celebrates it. Usually you’d start the vappu celebrations already on the vappu eve, April 30, and continue during the next day, the actual vappu day, May 1.
Central to vappu are sweet delicacies such as sima and munkki (Finnish mead and donuts), colorful decorations, like balloons and paper streamers, and good party vibes. People gather to party and celebrate together, and the next day usually continues with a cosy picnic.

We’re going to kick-start vappu at the Sunday party so if you like, dress accordingly! Think lots of different colors, mixing different patterns, maybe throw some florals in too, or a funny hat. We will serve some sima and munkki at the party too, so be early!
