🚨BREAKING: South Sudan Army General Defects to SPLA-IO, Accuses President Kiir of surrendering the country to Uganda

Brig. Gen. James Gatjiath, former operations commander of the SSPDF’s 1st Infantry Division in Upper Nile, has defected to the SPLA-IO. Speaking to Media, Gatjiath said he left the national army to protest what he called "genocide" and "corruption" against ethnic groups.

He accused President Salva Kiir of surrendering the country to Uganda and warned of an impending crisis. The SPLA-IO confirmed the defection, also announcing that 40 armed youth, allegedly forced into combat by the government, surrendered in Ulang County.

SPLA-IO spokesperson Col. Lam Paul Gabriel welcomed Gatjiath, urging other SSPDF members to join their movement against what he described as elite-driven conflict.

Shooting of South Sudanese Refugees in a Strike in Kakuma..

It has been reported that more than 10 refugees who are currently staging a strike in Kakuma, Kenya, have been shot with live bullets as the strike for water and food continues in the area .

The strike has taken 3 days today . The refugees striking are south Sudanese Nationals, including the Nuer and Dinka tribes who have been seeking refugee and a better life in Kenya for years .

The strike is still currently ongoing as the Kenyan Police Shoots Tear gas and live bullets towards the refugees
