It is indeed a very sad and tragic moment in our history. We lost a great man and a great leader who has devoted much of his life fighting for what he believed was the just and right thing. In my generation and our parent's generation, there has not been a leadership that came forth and brought the most
democratic system and vast economic growth while establishing strong international links...this is the reality our country is now experiencing. Regardless of what you feel, paying respect and acknowledging the good this man did as a young medical student who took up arms against the Mengistu is one simple way to bring the right change our nation needs...with love and peace and unity and a clear positive intellect...then the path and transition to a more prosperous future is at hand. Do not focus on the negative...it will not gain you a hair of credibility. Let us look back and reflect on all the good he has done! And let us look forward and plan how we can do better on the things that could have been better. May he rest in peace and may God comfort his family. God Bless Ethiopia.
