Over the many years of Valencia Birding trips and birding holidays, we've seen so many Rock Sparrows. But eventually, last week we saw two of them actually on a rock!😅 And sticking with Sparrows, here's a Tree Sparrow on a mission!

The area of steppe to the south west of Alicante that borders both Murcia and Castilla de la Mancha is absolutely splendid at the moment, with Poppies and other wild flowers adding a spectacular splash of colour, We've recent visited this area on various multi-day birding trips, enjoying views of Calandra Lark, Short Toed Lark, Lesser Kestrel and Great Bustard.
