The Picky Pescetarian

¡Feliz Día de los Reyes! The Feast of the Three Kings is the biggest day for gift-giving in Spain, but the other highlight of the celebration is having some Roscón de Reyes. This one is from Alma Nomad Bakery, which was a bit pricier than those you can get at supermarkets (some do offer decent Roscones), but it was worth it. This day is also considered the last day of the holidays (and over-indulging), so I’m having all the roscón I can have today.

Nachos are some of my favorite things to eat while having a drink. (Not very Spanish, I know.) I had some while at La Cañita Madrid, where I like to go whenever I’m in the Hortaleza area. These were good because there was a lot of guacamole, though a few of the chips were quite hard and un-crunchy. I would have also preferred some other kind of cheese instead of this cheese sauce. The nachos came with beef, which I asked them to remove. I have to confess, I’ve never really met a plate of nachos I didn’t like.

Second breakfast isn’t only for hobbits.
