Congratulations to Megan Eckert of Santa Fe, New Mexico, who smashed the women’s six-day world record at the GOMU Six-Day World Championship in Vallon Pont d'Arc, France, with 603.1 miles (970.6 km), on a 0.7-mile flat loop. She became the first woman in history to break the 600-mile six-day barrier. Only four American men have run that far in the 150 years history of the race. Megan also holds the women’s world record for the backyard ultra with 362.5 miles.
