nspected. Our Beautiful Villa has a lovely large terrace with ample seating and sun beds. You can be sat under the pergola when the sun is shining, doing your barbecuing on the terrace and enjoying the fabulous weather and outdoor living. There is a seating area under the pergola and also a porch area with seating by the entrance door, where you can have your early morning tea or fruit juice. On the terrace area there is a large stone table and chairs to seat 8 people and a parasol for alfresco eating outside when you need it. As the climate in Costa Blanca is generally ideal for most of the year. Our house is 2 mins from the community pool And We are in a quieter area of El Raso, but in very close walking distance to very good restaurants. (Less than 2 mins) Stan and Ollies is lovely and we recommend the Sunday lunch and their amazing 3 course dinners on the other days. The smaller bars are offering reasonably priced dishes from Spanish, English, Indian foods on site. And El Bar and the Med are particular favourites of ours. All the bars have a friendly bar staff and welcome new visitors. We are far enough away to not hear any noise from the bars. We have a small supermarket here but the main ones are a short drive away from the villa. A car is essential to drive to the supermarkets and beaches etc. Our home is suitable for families and couples only we politely ask No Stag or Hen parties sorry, No animals also. Only smoking away from the house please, definitely not inside. We have a roof terrace at the top where you can see the salt lakes of Torrevieja and the sea line at Guardamar Del Segura, the mountains in land as well. We have our pre dinner cocktails on the roof terrace before going out to dinner. The sunset is very special up on the sun terrace and looking over the countryside, seeing the orange trees and the salt lakes. We have 3 bedrooms which are nicely furnished and decorated with good wardrobe space. One King size, 1 Double and 1 twin-All air conditioned. There are 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor with a family bathroom, with bath and shower. Down stairs there is the other double bedroom, with an adjacent bathroom with a shower cubicle. Where the washing machine is kept, plus the ironing board and iron. The ground floor inside is all open plan the kitchen area consists of a fridge freezer, dish washer, integrated ceramic hob and oven. A microwave and coffee machine, and all crockery and kitchen utensils provided. We have 55” smart TV and satellite We now have installed wifi which is free and never turned off like some. We are 5 minutes drive in a car to the beaches of Guardamar Del Segura, 30 minutes drive from Alicante airport and 50 mins from Murcia airport. Even though we are close to the airports, we never hear the aeroplanes, as we are not on the flight paths. The local weekly market is held every Sunday next to El Raso and can be walked too from the house. A car is essential if you want to explore the area, and if you'd like details of someone that I know, then let me know. There is a bus service from El Raso to Guardamar town if required. We are 10 minutes from Torrevieja and 45 mins from Benidorm. Golf on the Costa Blanca - when coming on holiday to Guardamar, one of the big benefits is the golf. With at least 300 days of sunshine every year, the climate on the Costa Blanca makes it the ideal environment for golf and enjoying the sun and the area. Going up into the mountains is lovely and going through San Miguel you can eventually come to a lovely restaurant in Rebat which is called Restaurant Rebat, who do a lovely 3 course meal and very reasonable. The air is cooler in the mountains and so tranquil. The long, golden sandy beaches at Guardamar into Torrevieja consistently win the coveted Blue flag awards every year for their cleanliness, safety and facilities etc. The bars on the beaches at Guardamar and Compomar have lovely Spanish bars and its lovely to sample tapa's and paella at these bars with a glass of sangria. You will see all the Spanish families from Grandparents to Grandchildren walking the full length of the beaches keeping fit. You can walk for miles and miles on the golden sand and beach in both directions. Villa Maria is great for visiting all year round. Touring around the Guardamar/Torrevieja area is lovely, visiting new places too visit, fabulous sandy beaches, the golden sands at Guardamar are well known for their sand dunes and superb nature reserve, historical sites in Alicante too in the old town, restaurants to eat are many and varied in the areas mentioned and more to find out about and explore. Shopping is excellent in Habanaras in Torrevieja for clothes shops like Zara etc, shoe shops, perfume, jewellery tapas bars and sport wear/equipment etc. Also there is a large Carrefour supermarket with all that you need, food, clothes etc. The newest shopping mail is in La Zenia which is on the road to Murcia, the address is in our information manual as well as all things to do with Villa Maria and all things of interest we have mentioned.
