ons showcasing artist that otherwise did not have the means of exhibiting their art. The overall mission of REVIVE is to open a community center in the Dominican Republic where artists from New York City, Spain and other backgrounds can collaborate with underprivileged children in the Dominican Republic. I, Mercedes DJM the creative director, have organized artistic events and educational programming for all ages. In San Francisco, CA I've worked as an educator for 10 years as a youth coordinator and teaching artist. I moved to NYC in 2010 where I studied Theater Through Social Change. As a program organizer, I created and coordinated artists classes in different centers. I've participated in programs and trainings where i've learned ways to express personal and social issues using theater as a creative outlet. I continue to take Improvisational theater and participate in cultural events to expand my knowledge. REVIVE NYC is growing and always reinventing itself where ever it goes.
