The 'Glory' series was inspired by my desire to celebrate black features, specifically the "crowning glory" - our hair. This art was created to encourage everyone to love the hair you wear and to simply love you as you are.

I painted this piece when I was exploring my own ideas of sainthood. I was incorporating aspects of illuminated manuscripts around the world into my work for this reason.
