Hello Graffers!, hope you are having a nice Wednesday! We have reached to our #50 Graff Series Episode! We are very happy that we continue sharing what we love…
For this one we have an Argentinian talented musician now emerging in the DJ electronic music world.
Let’s welcome to: DEEP MAMBO!
Going deeper into the artist:
His name is Benjamin Riderelli, his music career started at young age with intempestive energy.
His first approach to live performances was playing long-non-stopping shows with a local band from Mar del plata called “Leitmotiv”, most of their shows were in sweaty basements and bars that could be compared to mouse hutches, but, like the flower from the swamp, that’s where he discovered electronic music.
After a couple of years, he moved to another city where he started a band with some friends called “Peces Raros”, As a band (drums, guitars, bass and vocals), they played much more sophisticated techno than most of the local djs and caught up the attention of the national media and played in every nearly venue and festivals in Argentina. That moment was when his alter ego "Deep Mambo" was born, mostly to play as a dj at the band’s afterparties.
Attracted by the idea of being able to create a whole orchestra just with a couple of synthesizers and a computer, he focused on producing his first 100% self made music in a small apartment in Buenos Aires downtown. After a couple of years and a pandemic lockdown of improving his skills as a producer and synth sound explorer, he decided to team up with Antonia Navarro, a Chilean multiphasic singer and composer to create Intona Rumore.
Intona Rumore is a live duo that combines obscure and experimental deep indie dance with a pop touch, their first album got out just a couple of weeks ago, and you can listen to it in most streaming platforms.
Vynil mixing is his new proposal, and simple as it sounds, he’s decided to make something different out of it.
