🔆 We're starting a new journey in Inhambane, Mozambique
Eye health and solar energy to ensure continuous and dignified medical care.

In Inhambane, a new ophthalmology unit is being built to serve thousands of people. At Azimut 360, we’re joining the project led by Ulls del Món and supported by ACCD as a partner organization, bringing in what we do best: ensuring renewable, efficient, and safe electricity.

☀️ We’ll install solar systems to replace inefficient lighting
📶 We'll add online monitoring to ensure proper system performance
🛠️ We'll train technical and healthcare staff for maintenance
🚺 We'll integrate a gender perspective at every step of the process

Meanwhile, in Catalonia, we’ll organize awareness-raising activities on climate emergency, extractivism, and environmental migration.

Our engineers are already on their way to Mozambique for the first technical visit. We're kicking off this project with excitement, commitment, and a clear conviction: energy is health, too.

Thanks to the BCN Solidària project, 20 municipal technicians have received specialized training in energy transition, while five women from the SunPower cooperative have been trained in the refurbishment and maintenance of photovoltaic systems.🌞

What impact has the project had?
✔️ Practical training with the installation of a PV system at the ISMM.
✔️ 15 women trained as community agents in renewable energies.
✔️ Reuse of material from a disused installation to give it a new life.
✔️ Public awareness day to promote a fair and sustainable energy transition.

Our team, led by Mireia Gil, worked together with the Nixon Memorial Hospital to improve the hospital's solar and electrical system and ensure a reliable and sustainable energy supply for its daily operations.

🔧 Key tasks performed:
✔️ Evaluation of the existing solar system and diagnosis of critical issues.
✔️ Solution to generator failures to improve electrical capacity.
✔️ Training local staff in daily maintenance protocols, ensuring the longevity of the system.
