Global Affairs Canada advises does not include the coastal resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, the area within the Sharm el-Sheikh perimeter barrier, the Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport and the areas of Hadaba, Naama Bay, Nabq, Sharks Bay and Sharm el Maya.
While the recent terrorist events in the April are located in two cities at high distances from Sharm el-Sheikh, Cairo and Luxor on the other hand, there is no relation to these areas geographically or even at the security level that these tourist places in Egypt
If you decide to travel to Egypt, plan your trip with a reputable Egyptian travel company or agency, as they are are well informed of the security situation and can better plan accordingly.
