http://maghrenov.eu/groups/profile/25450/final-event-at-the-european-parliament

After two years since the project started, MAGHRENOV faces its last year of implementation with several dissemination activities to present the results achieved so far by the project.

We remind you that this 8th of September (12:30 – 17:00) we will held our final event, an institutional session at the European Parliament, hosted by Mr Pier Antonio Panzeri, Chair of the Delegation for relations with the Maghreb countries and the Arab Maghreb Union. The session will be dedicated to explore the political dimension of the project as well as to debate about the opportunities that the Euro-Mediterranean Region, especially the Maghreb area, has to offer in terms of sustainability and innovation with 50 experts and high-level decision makers.

We believe that the outputs taken from this event will be very valuable to continue the implementation of the project and to address the next key steps on the Euro-Mediterranean collaboration such as the celebration of the International Climate Change Conference taking place in Marrakesh (COP22).

Report Launch | Sustainable competitiveness through energy efficiency in buildings

Sustainable competitiveness through energy efficiency in buildings
How to transform the building stock from being an energy waster to being a positive element in the EU energy system and the EU economy?
Do the EU’s climate and energy targets meet the needs and expectations of the energy renovation market in the EU?
How to maximise on 2016 as the ‘year of delivery for the Energy Union’ to achieve coherent and mutually reinforcing legislation in future legislative reviews for buildings?
This webinar will mark the launch of the new study drafted by Yamina Saheb (OpenExp) for Renovate Europe, which undertakes a comprehensive analysis of all 9 EU directives and regulations which relate to the building sector.
Key representatives from the European Parliament, the European Commission and from industry will come together during this webinar to discuss the key findings from the study and understand how to ‘get it right’ for buildings legislation with the upcoming legislative reviews, taking into account the huge potential of the energy renovation market in the EU.

Agenda
10:00 Introductory words: Adrian Joyce, Renovate Europe Campaign Director
10:05 Presentation of the main findings of the report by Yamina Saheb, OpenExp
10:25 Round table discussion with representatives from the European Parliament, the European Commission and the Industry
