For the first time, Italian Design Day has arrived at Cairo Design Week, materializing through the imaginative lens of “The Cabinet of Curiosities” — a spatial narrative that blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination.
This year’s edition invites visitors to journey through an immersive world where Italian creativity meets Egyptian curiosity. The exhibition reveals rare objects, experimental forms, and thought-provoking design statements, each selected to challenge perceptions and spark dialogue. Leading Italian industry professionals as well as academics share their accomplishments and speculations through various talks and an otherworldly product design workshop. As the experience unfolds, it introduces a new audience to the daring spirit of contemporary Italian design — one that speaks louder, thinks deeper, and dreams bolder than ever.
