Mingo Rajandi Quintet performs music that is at times wrapped in elaborate compositional structures or whirling off into energetic improvisational bursts at others, but is always rooted in a song - a story to tell, a melody to spell it out.

We have a new single out today!
This love song is based on a poem called “Her” by a Scottish poet Jackie Kay. When I first read it I was totally captured by it. I'm glad to share these beautiful thoughts with you now in the form of my music.
Something quite nostalgic and therefore suitable for the last days of summer I think.
