Ajani Joseph alumni of the MDC- US Study Program has published his first book. The book is titled "Built Not Born: The Architecture of Becoming". He attended Academy under the program and went on to complete his bachelor's degree at Beloit College in Economics and Sociology and a master's degree at University of Arkansas Ā- Sam M. Walton College of Business in Business Administration.

Caribbean Science Foundation - Notice of Call For Applications - 4th Annual Caribbean STEM Olympiads (CSO)

Calling students, principals, teachers, coaches, and other interested persons!
The Caribbean Science Foundation (CSF) is reaching out to students who are between 13 and 21 years of age, and from CARICOM and CARICOM Associate Countries, to apply NOW to participate in the fourth annual Caribbean STEM Olympiads (CSO).
In the CSO, individual competitors and teams from schools, clubs and associations are invited to compete at three different age levels for platinum, gold, silver and bronze medal certificates along with cash prizes in the following three categories:
(a) Robotics & Electronics Systems Olympiad
(b) Computer Coding Olympiad
(c) Math Olympiad
Application Forms and Deadlines
Detailed information on the CSO events as well as the initial registration form (Form 1 - Personal Registration) can be found at caribbeanscience.org/cso/. )
The final registration deadline is 30 November 2025. However, Robotics & Electronics Systems Olympiad teams who are seeking financial aid to purchase parts must register early (by 28 September 2025). The preliminary CSO elimination events will take place in mid to late December 2025, and the finals will take place during 12 - 18 January 2026.
Information Sessions
To aid competitors in preparation for their Olympiads, the CSF will run three Informational Sessions for students, teachers, principals, coaches and parents at the recurring Zoom meeting link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86884952617 on Sundays at 7:00 pm AST on the following dates:

16 November 2025
The information sessions will:
Provide more information on the events of the Olympiads
Clarify the rules, entry requirements, the judging process, and more
Allow interested persons to ask questions and raise concerns.

The MDC US-Study Program successfully concluded preparations for its 2025 boarding school cohort with an information session.
The session highlighted real experiences shared by current boarding school students and parents of the program's alumni. They offered valuable insights and guidance.
The eight students now preparing to begin their boarding school journey and their parents, had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussion.

A new chapter of excellence begins for eight students as the MDC US Study Program ā Boarding School Section proudly sends them off to pursue world-class educational opportunities in the United States.
This yearās all-girl cohortāMakayla Constance, Micah Clunes, Danielle Fergus, Nia Williams, Kayla-Maria Astaphan, KāAsia-Shanice Ferreira-Barnes, Lizanne Cuffy, and Shaynne Thomasārepresents a spirit of determination, ambition, and promise. Together, they have earned scholarships valued at an impressive US$1.2 million.
The group of seven Dominican students and one student from St. Kitts will begin their journey at some of Americaās most respected boarding schools: Westover School (Connecticut), Oregon Episcopal School (Oregon), Fountain Valley School (Colorado), and Oldfields School (Maryland).
Over the next two to four years, these bright young women will not only prepare academically for entry into U.S. universities but also embrace experiences that will shape them into global leaders.
