People often think I'm a side piece that can be ignored. In reality, I am the one shaping the 1st impression visitors have once they enter your space... be it the entrance space of a small apartment or the reception hall of a villa. Not to mention all those faceless conference rooms in countless offices: I am the first to call for action: Beautiful jackets and noble coats? Wet umbrellas or hats for stormy days?
I am happy to take them all until you need them again! Despite my light and graceful structure, I am exceptionally strong even if visitors should incidentally load all coats on one side. My secret? A Mercedes-Benz original rim at my base.

Tundra
The glass cover in the center with a noble smoky brown shade gives the rim its mysterious aura of a tundra. That’s why I’m named after the vast landscape in the far north of Scandinavia, where underground rivers often flow through a rocky subsoil.

About the symbiosis of beauty and functionality.

We place high demands on our products as laid out in the post series about our 4R philosophy.

And functionality is a key dimension. that already reflects in the design of the product; functionality in the application; functionality in an ecological context. Do the individual components of the concept contribute to functionality? Should the rim as an iconic element always have a function?

As our expert jury explored these questions with the at our last , an exciting discussion threw new light on how to celebrate the obviously round shape of a rim. Benjamin Nawka, Designer and Consultant at German Design Hub, considered a collector may well simply enjoy the beauty of the rims and the beauty of this particular shelf. As viti_vitalis enns, AMG Studio Chief, put it: “Each of the products has a purpose - a WHY – that has been well elaborated by all Design Students."

The singular base of this coat hanger is a Mercedes-Benz rim wrapped in warm wood. This provides an exceptional sturdiness, even when coats should incidentally load on one side. The nano-coated black structure makes the product both, practical and distinctive.
