At McKinsey & Company, I learned a lot about storytelling.
Many make this BIG mistake in their written communication.. 👇

Slides are a powerful storytelling tool. Though avoid this mistake:
Do not use “Clotheslines” when structuring information.

A clothesline is a long list of unordered bullet points.
Bullet after bullet, clothespin after clothespin.

❌ This is why you should avoid clotheslines:
# Oral presentation: Hard to present such a slide effectively
# Lack of structure: Slide looks like the result of a brainstorming
# Cognitive energy: It consumes lots of cognitive energy of the reader

✅ Instead, follow these steps to improve the slide:
1. Group your points into logical categories
2. Include headers to frame your bullet points right
3. Separate out different logical bullet types into columns
