Daniela Torres

-Daniela Torres is a multidisciplinary artist from Quito, Ecuador, based in Berlin, Germany.

Advocating for gender equality, the artist challenges societal norms through the mediums of photography, ceramics, and writing. Her work is a celebration of feminity, highlighting the profound beauty found in vulnerability, empowerment and liberation.

Founder of MŌ Gallery (2017-2019), Daniela Torres has curated numerous solo and group exhibitions before shifting her focus back to photography. In her portrait series “Boys” (2015-ongoing), the artist draws inspiration from the traditional female representation throughout History, while deliberately reversing the roles. By doing so, she refuses to confine women to the status of muse and aims to present the nuanced and multifaceted nature of masculinity. -
