novinky z posledního zasedání Akademického senátu!

Na zasedání Studentská komora AS MU jsme se setkali s paní prorektorkou Fialovou, kde jsme diskutovali nejpalčivější témata studentů (menzy, ubytování a výuku). Těší nás, že jsme se na schůzce dohodli na pokračování naší spolupráce a pravidelných setkáních.

Na samotném zasedání jsme pak odsouhlasili výroční zprávu univerzity a podpořili další kroky k získání budovy Biology Park na kampusu. Tím se otevřou nové možnosti pro rozvoj především Přírodovědecké a Lékařské fakulty, protože na kampusu je nouze o prostory neustále.

Největší diskusi však vyvolalo plánované založení společnosti MUNI Ventures, zaměřené na realizaci spin-off společností a efektivním nakládáním s univerzitními investicemi. Toto téma se nesetkalo s úplnou shodou v senátu - jak mezi akademickými, tak studentskými zástupci. Jako studentská komora jsme se snažili prosadit rozšíření poradního orgánu jednatele o studentského zástupce, zatím bohužel bez úspěchu. Přestože založení MUNI Ventures jako samostatné společnosti přinese větší flexibilitu, která je v tomto odvětví potřeba, je zde obava z možné ztráty kontroly, zejména z pohledu studentské komunity. Senát už totiž nebude schvalovat jednotlivé majetkové operace společnosti.

We're bringing news from the last Academic Senate!

We met with vice-rector Fialova at the Student Senate meeting to discuss the most pressing student issues (canteens, accommodation and education). We are pleased that at the meeting, we agreed to continue our cooperation and regular meetings to stay up-to-date.

At the Senate itself, we approved the University's annual report and supported further steps to acquire the Biology Park building on Campus. This will open up new opportunities for the development of the Faculty of Science and Medicine, in particular, as there is a constant shortage of space on campus.

However, the biggest discussion was sparked by the planned establishment of MUNI Ventures, a company focused on the implementation of spin-off companies and the efficient management of university investments. This topic did not meet with a complete consensus among both academic and student representatives in the Senate. As a student chamber, we have tried to push for the expansion of the executive advisory body to include a student representative, unfortunately, without success so far. Although the establishment of MUNI Ventures as a separate company will bring more flexibility, which is needed in this sector, there is concern about the potential loss of control, especially from the perspective of the student community. This is because the Senate will no longer approve individual property transactions of the company.

jak už jste si možná někteří všimli, opět jsme se spolu rozhodli kandidovat do senátu naší milované fakulty. Po třech letech práce ve fakultním i univerzitním senátu jsme nasbírali mnoho zkušeností a kontaktů napříč fakultami, které bychom chtěli zužitkovat v nadcházejícím volebním období. Možnost reprezentovat studenty na půdě univerzitního i fakultního senátu současně je tak velká výhoda, jak posunout věci kupředu.

Před třemi lety jsme si mysleli, že všechno půjde hned a snadno, ale dnes už víme, že každá změna potřebuje čas. Proto bychom chtěli pokračovat v naší práci v senátu i nadále. V následujícím období bychom se chtěli zaměřit na podporu a posílení účasti studentů v rozhodovacích procesech naší fakulty a bojovat za vyšší komfort studentů v průběhu studia, zejména s ohledem na situaci na kolejích a v menzách.

Zatím se nám povedlo výrazně posílit hlas studentů ve vedení fakulty, zlepšit podmínky bakalářských a magisterských studentů k vycestování do zahraničí v rámci programu ERASMUS a zapracovat na lepším postavení a financování doktorandů. Věříme, že s Vaší podporou to dotáhneme ještě dál!

Hey folks,

As some of you may have noticed, we have once again decided to run for the senate of our beloved faculty. After three years of work in both the faculty and university senate, we have gathered many experiences and contacts across faculties, which we want to use in the upcoming election term. The opportunity to represent students in both the university and faculty senate at the same time is a significant advantage to move things forward.

We thought everything would go fast and easily three years ago, but today we know that every change takes time. Therefore, we would like to continue our work in the Senate. In the upcoming term, we want to focus on supporting and strengthening student participation in the decision-making processes of our faculty and fight for greater comfort for students during their studies, especially considering the situation in dormitories and canteens.

So far, we have managed to significantly strengthen the voice of students in the faculty leadership, improve the conditions for bachelor's and master's students to travel abroad as part of the ERASMUS program, and work on a better position and funding for doctoral students. With your support, we can achieve even more!
