One sunny afternoon, a man named Pascal decided to visit his long-lost uncle in the village. He hadn’t eaten all day but told himself, “Let me act like a proper guest… calm and collected.”
When he arrived, he was warmly welcomed and asked the usual village question:
“Should we bring you something to eat?”
Pascal quickly replied, “Nooo, I’m okay! I just ate.” Meanwhile, his stomach was dancing the latest makossa rhythm in protest. 😀
As he sat there pretending to watch movie, his eyes kept scanning the kitchen door. Suddenly, he saw someone approaching with a plate of rice and wrapped pancakes. His soul almost left his body in joy — but he quickly fixed his face like nothing was coming 😂😐👀.
He leaned slightly forward, pretending to stretch his neck, but truthfully, he was measuring the distance between him and the plate. 'In his mind"
"God, touch their heart to offer me that plate!"
When the plate was finally placed in front of him, he tried to act surprised:
“Ohhh, you people didn’t have to!”
Meanwhile, his hand had
already reached the spoon before he finished the sentence 😅.
Long story short: Pascal finished the food, drank two bottles of water, and even asked if there was mango for dessert — still pretending he was full when he arrived.
Moral of the story: Don't lie to your stomach. It will embarrass you later! 😂

Trump cautions Cameroon’s electoral body ELECAM and President Paul Biya
Former U.S. President Donald J. Trump has delivered a stern message to Cameroon’s electoral commission, ELECAM, urging it to maintain fairness, transparency, and accountability in the country’s electoral process.
President Trump called on ELECAM to respect the principles of justice and equal representation, stressing the need for integrity in the aftermath of Cameroon’s recent general elections.
In his address, Trump underscored the importance of conducting free and fair elections, warning that any form of irregularity or injustice would draw attention from the international community. He firmly stated that both President Paul Biya and the leadership of ELECAM would be held responsible for any actions that threaten the democratic rights of the Cameroonian people.
This demand for accountability arises amid increasing worries about the credibility of the electoral process and claims of attempts to influence the results. President Trump’s statement highlights the global expectation that democratic values must be upheld and that the voices of Cameroonians should be respected and given due recognition.

The political atmosphere in Cameroon is tense and uncertain as the country navigates an election year under the long‑time leadership of Paul Biya. Coming into the October 12, 2025 presidential vote, Biya, aged 92 and in power since 1982, sought another term amid deep‑rooted questions about governance and the state of democracy. [1] Opposition parties and civil society decried the electoral environment as unequal, citing the exclusion of key opposition figures and restrictions on freedom of assembly and expression. [2] When results were announced proclaiming Biya the winner with about 53.66 % of the vote, claims of fraud and manipulation followed swiftly, generating protests in major cities like Douala and Garoua that were met with force by security services. [3] Political space for dissent continues to shrink, with certain opposition coalitions declared illegal and gatherings banned ahead of the vote, fueling fears of further suppression of democratic rights. [4] Within the ruling party, the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM), internal divisions over succession and leadership have become more visible, raising questions about the future of governance and stability. [5] Meanwhile, the broader context of ongoing conflict in the Anglophone Northwest and Southwest regions, as well as security threats in the Far North, drives a backdrop of instability that weakens the legitimacy of political institutions and complicates any transition of power.
