The Environment and Rural Development Foundation (ERuDeF) successfully hosted a press conference to present the formation of the Cross River Gorilla Alliance. The event brought together partners, and members of the press, marking an important step toward strengthening collaborative efforts to protect the critically endangered Cross River gorilla.

Madam Ajua Vivian delivered a concise yet informative presentation on ERuDeF, highlighting the organization’s mission, achievements, and ongoing initiatives in environmental conservation and community development. Her presentation provided valuable context for the Alliance’s formation.

Dr. Nkembi Louis, CEO of ERuDeF, presented the Cross River Gorilla Alliance. He emphasized the urgent need for coordinated conservation actions to safeguard the Cross River gorilla, one of the world’s most endangered primates. He outlined the vision of the Alliance as a multi-stakeholder platform aimed at enhancing protection, research, and sustainable community engagement.
