Happy International Day of Forests! 🌳
Forests provide food, medicine, income, and protect our environment.
Let us protect our forests and promote sustainable use of Non-Timber Forest Products for better livelihoods.
FORUDEF – Protecting Forests, Improving Livelihoods.
A Big Milestone for BANOTIFOPCOOP! 🌿✨
Members of Bakossi National Park Non-Timber Forest Products Cooperative have successfully completed a powerful training workshop on Branding and Packaging of Non-Timber Forest Products, organized by Foundation for Rural Development (FORUDEF).
This activity was made possible thanks to funding from World Wide Fund for Nature Cameroon under the LtC 2 Project.
For years, forest products like bush mango, njansang, bush pepper and honey were sold in raw or bulk form. Today, things have changed!
Members learned:
🌱 How to create strong product brands
📦 How to package products attractively and professionally
🏷 How to label according to standards
💼 How to position their products for better markets
The result? The official rebranding of BANOTIFOPCOOP!
The cooperative now has a renewed identity and improved packaging that reflects quality, sustainability, and pride from communities around Bakossi National Park.
This is more than packaging it is empowerment.
It is conservation linked to income.
It is communities taking ownership of their forest wealth.
