Women's Month is here!!
And activities to mark the 2026 International women's day celebration on March 8th are in motion as community-Based organizations in the South West join the Regional Delegation of and UNFPA in Buea for empowerment sessions for women and girls through trainings and workshops to enlighten women on their Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and how to prevent Gender -Based Violence.
This training on Sexual and Reproductive Health organized by counselling and Information Center (WCIC) at the Women Empowerment Center, Buea in collaboration with MINPROFF Regional Delegation for the South West and UNFPA.
It was an incredible training on March 3rd 2026.

After the training and the relaunch of malaria project activities,the project coordinator Alliance For Community Initiative together with other project staff went to the various Health Areas we are covering to carry out Data Validation with the Community Health Workers.
The various Health Areas include:
Muyuka,Meanja, Malende and Ekona .

Today we joined voices with other organizations, for an advocacy walk and community sensitization in support of this year’s powerful theme: “United to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls.”

As technology becomes a bigger part of our daily lives, so does the need to create safe digital spaces for women and girls. Online harassment, cyberstalking, misinformation, and digital exploitation are real forms of violence. Together, we can put an end to them.

Today, we walk, we speak, and we take action to:
. Raise awareness on digital safety
. Promote respect and accountability online
. Empower women and girls to claim their digital rights
. Advocate for stronger protections and responsible tech use

Let’s stand together, online and offline, to say NO to all forms of violence.

Let’s unite to build a world where women and girls can thrive safely and confidently, in every digital space.
