EMG Secretariat, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), is pleased to invite you to the second event of the Nexus Dialogue Series on Sustainable Bioeconomy. The event will focus on “Inclusivity, Sustainability and Integration of Bioeconomy in the Global Environmental Agenda.”

The Dialogue will explore the potential of a sustainable bioeconomy to drive inclusive economic growth, particularly for marginalized groups such as Indigenous Peoples, women, youth, and forest-dependent communities.

Discussions will focus on how bioeconomy practices can support climate adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and land restoration, while also addressing barriers to participation and ensuring equitable access to resources, knowledge, and markets.

In addition, the Dialogue will highlight the importance of integrating sustainable bioeconomy approaches into global agendas, including the Paris Agreement, the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, and the Sustainable Development Goals.

EMG at the BRS COPs 2025 in Geneva 🌍
Join us for the High-Level Roundtable Discussion “Strengthening Action for Change: Advancing Integrated Solutions for the Implementation of the BRS Conventions”.

This roundtable will bring together Heads of UN entities and Senior Officials to explore pathways for the integrated implementation of the BRS Conventions, the Rio Conventions and other multilateral environmental agreements, linking relevant frameworks together. Building on insights from EMG’s 2024 high-level roundtables at CBD COP16, UNFCCC COP29, and UNCCD COP16, the discussion will focus on breaking silos, strengthening coordination, accelerating implementation and supporting countries through joint strategies.
