𧬠Why is systemic sclerosis still so difficult to diagnose and treat despite decades of research?
π A new review explores the complex pathophysiology of systemic sclerosis (SSc), highlighting how vascular dysfunction, immune dysregulation, and fibrosis interact to drive progressive organ damage. The paper also discusses emerging precision medicine strategies and future therapeutic directions.

𧬠Why is systemic sclerosis still so hard to diagnose early β and what if metabolism holds the missing clue?
π This systematic review maps the metabolomic alterations in systemic sclerosis, revealing consistent disruptions in energy, lipid, amino acid, and mitochondrial pathways across studies β with potential links to fibrosis, vasculopathy, and organ involvement.

β οΈ Systemic sclerosis is far more complex than skin fibrosis alone.
π§ New research perspectives reveal a disease shaped by immune chaos, vascular damage, epigenetic rewiring, and organ-specific molecular signatures β with single-cell technologies now uncovering hidden pathways never seen before.

π¨ Fatigue in multiple sclerosis isnβt just βfeeling tiredβ β and this study shows why.
πΆ Researchers found that some people with mild MS experience measurable declines in walking speed, cadence, and step length during intermittent walking, even when traditional fatigue symptoms donβt fully explain the performance drop.

β οΈ A patient may perform well in the clinicβ¦ and still face serious fall risks in daily life.
πΆββοΈ Researchers showed that traditional mobility tests like the TUG may fail to capture the complexity of real-world movement in multiple sclerosis. Dual-task gait assessments delivered a more realistic picture of mobility β and a better warning system for falls.

β‘ A simple walking test may reveal far more about multiple sclerosis progression than we think.
πΆ Researchers found a strong link between walking speed and self-reported disability in adults with MS β highlighting how objective movement data and patient experiences can work together to shape smarter interventions.
π§ The study reinforces the growing importance of personalized rehabilitation and tele-exercise strategies tailored to real-world functional abilities.

π A valuable step toward more individualized and patient-centered MS care.
The Relationship Between Disability and Walking Speed in Adults with Multiple Sclerosis Introduction: Timed Twenty-Five Foot Walk (T25FW) and Patient-Determined Disease Steps (PDDSs) are measures commonly used for people with MS (PwMS). However, there is limited knowledge about the utility of using the measures to customize interventions. Aim: This exploratory study aimed to assess the...

π« Are patients with systemic sclerosis developing progressive pulmonary fibrosis without being identified early enough?
π Real-world UK data revealed that 23% of patients with systemic sclerosis-related interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD) developed progressive pulmonary fibrosis (PPF), with a median onset of 5 years. The study also found that only half of eligible patients were referred for consideration of anti-fibrotic therapy, highlighting important gaps in case finding and management.
