Last night at poker, I was asked a simple question: “Why are you so into health?”
It’s a fair question—and the answer isn’t what most people assume.

This isn’t about trends, perfection, or preaching. It started with curiosity, turned into understanding, and eventually became something I felt compelled to share, because I care.

Over the past 30 years, this knowledge became deeply intertwined with the health journeys of people close to me—but that part of the story can wait.

This is the short version of how it all started.

Quick note before you scroll past:

I’m not sharing this to sell anything. I’m sharing it because this is where my passion for health ACTUALLY began—long before nutrition, supplements, or brands were ever part of the conversation.

This all started for me in Intro to Biochemistry at university. I still have my notes.

For the first time, I could see how life actually works at the cellular level—and it completely changed how I thought about health.

Proteins, fats, and carbohydrates don’t just “turn into energy.” They move through beautifully interconnected biochemical cycles, and every step depends on specific nutrients being available in optimal forms, and proportions.

The next logical question became:

In a perfect world, we’d eat flawlessly all the time. Real life doesn’t work that way.

And that’s where this analogy hits home for me:

🚗 Why would you put low-grade oil in your car just because you don’t drive perfectly all of the time?

You still want the engine protected.
You still want performance.
You still want longevity.
The same logic applies to your body.

That’s why I encourage everyone—regardless of diet, habits, stress level, or lifestyle—to consider adding something supportive to their biochemistry. Not to be perfect. Just to be better supported.
