Extreme temps took a toll on this residential deadbolt. It just wasn’t a great long term solution. We swapped it out for a mechanical push button deadbolt - no batteries required !!

When the temps start getting close to -40 there is no magic item I can sell you that prevents frozen doors and locks, improving your airflow near the area is the best recommendation.
