If your terminal crashes, you don’t have to re-explain the whole project. Most agent harnesses can resume the last session. Codex has `resume --last`, slash-resume can pull previous sessions, and Pi has its own continuation flow. Huge save when a terminal dies mid-run.

Your Obsidian vault should do more than hold notes. Mine keeps contacts, daily notes, metrics, content research, AI agents, workflows, quick captures, and the daily actions I need to stay pointed in the right direction. The point is not a prettier vault. The point is making the vault work for you.

A second brain is useless if it just hoards information. Notes and agent memory only matter if something reads them, summarizes them, and turns them into action. That’s why I like Obsidian: you can build mini apps and plugins that make the vault do something with the information.

AI tools are moving fast enough that everybody feels behind. This is my full-time job and I still can’t keep up with every new thing. Don’t panic-scroll YouTube trying to pick the perfect stack. Find what works for you, curate who you listen to, and only switch tools when you have a specific problem to solve.

Obsidian and AI agents are great friends because they cover each other’s weaknesses. Agents make it easier to input and act on information. Obsidian fills the memory gap. The real move is turning the vault into an intelligence layer instead of another graveyard of notes.

Pi is my favorite agent harness because it starts minimal. Claude Code is powerful, but the harness comes with a massive instruction manual. Pi starts closer to a blank slate, which means you can build the harness around your workflows instead of bending your workflows around the harness.

Every PKM app runs into the same problem: you still have to put the information in. Obsidian helps because you can lower that friction with plugins, terminals, and AI agents. Instead of manually maintaining every daily note, you can talk to the agent and let it update the structure.
