The ocean nurtures us, nourishes us, inspires us, and protects us. This June 13th is our chance to give something back.

The Giving Ocean brings together art, food, conversation, and community in support of ocean conservation — and is itself a love letter to the sea.

At the heart of the evening is a pop-up art exhibition titled The Giving Ocean, inspired by Shel Silverstein’s beloved The Giving Tree, featuring local artists working across multiple media, each reflecting the many ways the ocean shapes life, livelihood, emotion, and community.

The evening includes:

Your ticket directly supports ocean conservation. Proceeds to be distributed among Surfrider Foundation, Georgia Strait Alliance, and SeaLegacy — and attendees vote on the fourth recipient on the night.

Come and go as you please throughout the evening. A full schedule will be posted so you can plan around the speakers, the readings, or simply the oysters. Any amount of time — and any level of support — is warmly welcomed.

We look forward to seeing you at The Lab Victoria on June 13 — tickets are linked in our bio.

we've curated a space where routine can become a ritual.

where 'should' falls away and you're pulled forward by the undeniable connection of a room filled with like minded people.

our website looks a little newer and so does our booking app, but deep down we're still the same, connecting to breath, finding depth and sharing it with all of you.

Year two.

Last year we shared our origin story, with the recognition that it takes a village. I had a whole different post written for this and then scrapped it which feels pretty on brand for running this business. Learning how and when to pivot.

What we’re really learning now is what it means to care for that village.

A ā€˜wellness’ space holds a lot more nuance than what you see. For the ease you feel when you walk in, there’s a lot happening in the in-between. Behind the screens, behind the scenes.

Slack threads, text threads, email threads. Little love notes at the front desk. Pesky reminders disguised as cute signage. All the small, intentional things that keep this place moving.

Communication. A lot of it. When it’s hard, when it’s uncomfortable, when it asks you to really stand in your integrity. Doing the hard things, especially when it would be easier not to.

We’re becoming known for our collaborations and that feels really aligned. Community to me, is connection. And this next year, there will be even more opportunities for that. Ways to connect to yourselves, to each other, and to some really incredible humans in this city.

A huge shoutout to for being an example of what it looks like to lead with love. This space is held the way it is because of your care for our people and attention to detail.

As always, I’ve rambled but that’s how you know this is a real human (no shade, the other tools help too).

There’s a lot to be proud of. And also a feeling that we’re just getting started.

If you’re here, reading this, or part of this space in any way, thank you from my whole heart šŸ¤
