We extend our gratitude to everyone who attended the Christmas Market today, as the event was a resounding success. The music was exceptional, the chefs and bakers delivered outstanding performances. The vendors offered fantastic items for sale, several were our employees and we are so proud of how creative and talented they are. Thank you to the team for organizing this event and to our wonderful volunteers for making it run so smoothly, we can’t wait to host you all again next year!

As we mark National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada, we take this time to reflect on the enduring legacy of residential schools and the strength and resilience of Indigenous Peoples across Canada. Today and tomorrow we honour survivors, their families, and the communities still healing from these injustices.

Thank you to all the staff that took the time to watch the video about the making of The Witness Blanket, a powerful monument that tells the stories of survivors through objects reclaimed from residential school sites across the country. Your thoughtful reflection cards are a testament to our collective willingness to listen, learn, and stand in solidarity.

We invite all staff, residents and family members to visit our own ode to the Witness Blanket, now displayed in the Village Square on the stage. This collaborative effort is a symbol of our ongoing commitment to reconciliation, awareness, and respect.

Let us continue to engage in meaningful conversations and actions, today and every day.

Inaugural ride on our new Diaz trishaw. We absolutely love our trishaw program and with this new bike we are able to allow even more residents the opportunity to feel “the wind in their hair.”
