When I was a child, I spent a lot of time in nature daydreaming....
I watched spiders spin webs and ants communicate with a secret language I longed to know. Often it was the creatures in shells that fascinated me the most. Turtles, hermit crabs, mollusks, and snails all carried their homes with them. Some days, I longed to have a shell-home too. A place to escape into, a small space where I could sleep or dream.
I create these sculptures in honor of the sea creatures that kept me
company as a child. I hope they inspire you to go within, to be introspective and to dream.
