Trekor (formally Taseko) was proud to support the 2026 Tŝilhqot’in Bike & Horse Ride with an $800 cash donation, complimenting Gibraltar Mine's donation of drink supplies, to help make this important community event a success.

Held June 20–24, the annual ride brings together participants from Yuneŝit’in, Tl’etinqox, and Tŝideldel on a journey that promotes wellness, youth engagement, healthy living, and a strong connection to the land. More than just a physical challenge, the event celebrates Tŝilhqot’in culture, pride, and community spirit.

We were honoured to contribute to the June 22 rest day activities, which included meals, a bike rodeo, gymkhana events, and prizes for participants. Supporting initiatives that encourage active lifestyles, cultural connection, and opportunities for youth reflects our commitment to the communities where we live and work.

National Indigenous Peoples Day is a time to celebrate the rich cultures, histories, languages, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.

Held each year on June 21, this day offers an opportunity to learn, reflect, and honour the strength, knowledge, and resilience of Indigenous Peoples and communities.

At Taseko, Gibraltar and Yellowhead, we recognize the importance of this day to our Indigenous employees, partners, and neighbours. Through our work each day, we strive to build honest, respectful, and mutually beneficial relationships with Indigenous Peoples and communities in Canada.
