Started 2025 with an intention to return to one of my favourite hobbies…reading. To that end, just finished my holiday read “Educated” a memoir by Tara Westover. In this engaging book, Tara shares her unique life story, her struggles to pursue her authentic self in a context of theological dogma, and how her aspirations to pursue higher education ultimately cost her relationships with her family. Thank you Tara for your vulnerability and courage to share your story. A highly recommended read for 2025!

Wrapped up August with an out and back hike on the Deeks Lake Trail. Loved the panoramic view of Howe Sound from the Trailblazer Lookout, the spectacular waterfall, and the clear blue water of Deeks Lake at the top where we enjoyed a picnic lunch while reflecting on the surrounding mountains. Strenuous hike requiring proper hiking boots and poles.

Completed the BCMC trail in 1 hr 15 minutes today. An awesome workout in mother nature’s gym
