What a joy! Welcoming a new group of inspiring immigrant women to the program from . Honoured to be part of the team supporting them as they prepare to launch their food business. Our cultural sensitivity & communication skills workshop was even more enjoyable with delicious food from other entrepreneurs from the FOH community!

When planning how to approach a project, focusing on a person’s or team's strengths emphasizes the human capacity for resilience and achievement.

While acknowledging the difficulties that clients experience, the strengths approach avoids limiting people to their traumas, problems, obstacles, illnesses, or adversity.

We have found the appreciative inquiry framework a helpful tool for both personal and team-related projects; this framework uses the team or individual’s current strengths as the starting point to design a better future.

The Thin Book of Appreciative Inquiry by Sue Annis Hammond is our recommended reading this week for those interested in using a positive approach to solutions design and relationship building.
