Free to Express , 1994-2025 is deeply personal mixed media artwork that bridges two distinct moments in the artist's creative journey. At its core lies an original Abstract gouache painting created in 1994 during a live model study. More than thirty years later, the work was revisited , deconstructed , and transformed through a process of tearing , and reassembling onto a series of five interconnected canvases.
Fragments of the original figure emerge and disappear throughout the composition, creating a dialogue between memory, identity, and artistic evolution. Surrounded by vibrant blue tones -powerful unpredictable, and constantly changing.
The act of dismantling and rebuilding the original Artwork symbolizes freedom from artistic constraints and courage to reinterpret the past through a contemporary lens. Free to Express, demonstrating how art can evolve while still preserving the essence of its original.
