If you are trying to sell your products and services in a direct way, you are doing it wrong.
The easiest way to get more sales is to sell the concept. You have to make it clear to your customers why your product or service is the better choice.
Think about what makes yours a better choice.
You've probably heard of Square. They saw that small and medium business owners were getting the shaft. Big payment processing companies didn't care about these small clients and only offered solutions that were extremely expensive and came with nasty contracts.
So, what did Square do? They sold the concept of a painless payment system that even a non-techie could use. An easy-to-use chip reader that could be plugged into the headphone jack on your phone or tablet. Businesses loved it, Square built on it, and the rest is history. The company successfully identified a pain point that business owners were feeling, pounced on it, and executed like pros.
That my friends is what selling the concept looks like. Stop blabbing about your products and start selling the value.
