Honoured to join this year’s Sashbear Walk and spend time with so many incredible families, advocates, and community members.
Mental health is important and too many families are struggling alone, while waiting for help.
It was inspiring to see everyone come together to raise awareness, support one another. Sashbear reminds us that we are not alone.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so meaningful. Community matters 🧡

The Roncy REmarket brings the community together around caring for our world through repair, reduce, and reuse. An event showcasing what sustainable local economy can look like.
Thank you to Parkdale–High Park 4 Climate Action for hosting! It was great to learn with exhibitors like Toronto Environmental Alliance, Seniors for Climate Action Now, Not Just Tourists, and the city of Toronto. All part of a growing community effort to reduce waste and build stronger circular economy practices across the neighbourhood.

On D-Day, we remember the courage and sacrifice of the Canadian service members who landed on the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944 as part of the Allied effort to liberate Europe from N**i occupation.
It was an honour to attend the annual D-Day commemorative service at Sanctuary Park Cemetery and lay a wreath alongside veterans and Legion members. As the number of living veterans from the Second World War grows smaller, our responsibility to preserve their stories and honour their sacrifice only grows greater.
Thank you to the Royal Canadian Legion branches of Zone D1 for continuing this important tradition of remembrance.

What a joy it was to attend the Sistema concert and witness the incredible talent, discipline, and passion of the young musicians in our community. Programs like Sistema do far more than teach music, they build confidence, foster teamwork, and create a sense of belonging that can shape a young person’s future.
I was truly moved by the energy in the room and the dedication of the students, teachers, and families who make this program so special. It’s a powerful reminder of why access to arts education matters and why we must continue to support opportunities that allow every child to thrive.
Thank you to everyone involved in making the evening such a success and congratulations to all the performers for an unforgettable performance.

Thank you to that Canadian Arab Institute for coming to Queens Park and engaging in your advocacy on behalf of Arabs in Ontario. Anti-Arab, Anti-Palestinian, and Anti-Muslim hatred is on the rise. It is a difficult time for Arab Canadians, who hold grief in their hearts for friends and family in war zones and watch the world ignore a genocide. They also face discrimination and racism here in our province.
I want to be very clear that the NDP and I stand in solidarity with our Arab neighbours and stand strongly against bigotry and dehumanization.
The Canadian Arab Institute has been an important voice in that work; advancing research, civic participation, and a stronger understanding of the experiences and aspirations of Arab Canadians across this country. Thank you for your leadership, your advocacy, and your partnership.
The right to collective bargaining is fundamental. Workers deserve the ability to negotiate fair contracts without governments changing the rules when it becomes politically inconvenient.
I'm standing with the OPSEU workers who are currently on the picket line looking for a fair deal.

Very vibrantly dressed for the Ontario Chamber of Commerce multi-party MPP panel!
MPPs from the three parties came together to discuss with the small business community how best to advocate for their communities (w/ Stephanie Smyth and Monica Ciriello). We discussed the pillars that help small businesses thrive, such as competition, healthy communities, diversity, accessibility, and much more.
The NDP is committed to supporting our small businesses and fighting back against the large monopolies that threaten them. Our downtowns should be filled with people shopping locally and enjoying affordable access to our shared spaces. Businesses across Ontario have built community, created jobs, and supported our economy.

I'm seeing a pattern.
Ford Government is appointing insiders and family friends, who do not appear to be qualified, for government positions.
Should we be surprised? No. Should we be outraged? Absolutely.
When you uncover one corruption scandal with Ford, two more take its place. His whole operation needs to go.
