World Peace Day 🩵🕊It all starts with us, doesn’t it? Providing a peaceful, loving and stable foundation for our children matters. In a world where there is sadly much upheaval, division, instability and anger, it’s more crucial than ever. Be kind to one other, spread good vibes and watch with wonder the difference it can make.🤗 🤍🩵🤍

❤️💛Celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day💛❤️ Today is especially the day to educate children on the Indigenous peoples groups -the Inuit, First Nations and Metis- in Canada, recognizing and celebrating their beautiful and unique culture and traditions.
Sadly, “over 50% of all Indigenous children live below poverty on reservation land.” [aptn.ca national news]. We have much to do to help the healing. There are many charities that help provide assistance to these communities. [ link: https://truenorthaid.ca/first-nations-charities-html/ ]
To learn and teach our children about the native communities and their culture, gives them the due respect they deserve [please see link below to make it easier. :)
5 Ways to Learn About Canada's Indigenous Cultures:
1. Connecting with your school's Aboriginal Services.
2. Going to your city's Native Canadian Centre.
3. Attending an annual pow wow.
4. Celebrating National Aboriginal Day.
5. Reading online resources on Indigenous culture.

It is crucial that we are always conscious of our actions, as our actions can have serious repercussions. We can consciously change that into actions of respect, peace and love💜

☀️Sunny Days brings Smiley Faces ☀️💕 Bright sunny days bring possibility. So elated to have been invited to do a book signing at the amazing Garden Market Evergreen Brick Works. It’s been a long time since that ‘cold’ season hit. Meeting such wonderful people who still believe that kindness brings community together was a beautiful reassurance that Kindness trumps all! ⭐️💙 How about a nap? 💙⭐️😴 With daylight savings time it sure can be difficult adjusting losing that one hour, at least for me.
A Boston University professor, Dr. William Anthony realized that with the clock changing it’s especially important to make up for it, with a quick nap, to benefit your health, increase your happiness, and productivity too! For the whole family, including family pets! Flip to the next image as it shows the amount of sleep/nap hours little ones need.
As we all know, a good night’s sleep does wonders, but babies and children need much more. Equally as important, as hard as it may be, is keeping parent’s sleep health up to par, to manage your life with clarity, energy and balance. Although 7-9 hours is the healthy average, as a new parent that may be challenging.
Here are some parent tips:
*nap when your baby/child naps to help you recharge
*be comfortable saying no to loved ones who want to see your baby
*create a good sleep environment and bedtime routine [ex. quiet, cool, dark place, share baby attention with partner]
*ask for help when you are in need of sleep!
Happy Napping!
