Last week, UpAuto had the privilege of being a part of the Hanover Job Fair. While there, we met lots of happy new faces and felt welcomed into the Grey Bruce community! (Hanover Honda & Easthill Volkswagen)

UpAuto welcomes John Carmichael, ICD.D to the team as our Non-Executive Chair.

John retired from his leadership role at OMVIC in the summer of 2022 and will be focusing some of his time on supporting the UpAuto leadership team to help develop, refine and drive Macro Strategy, Ex*****on, and Governance.

From his time in the Automotive industry, where he held numerous industry roles as well as a dealership owner, to his days in Canada's Parliament as a Member of Parliament (MP), John has developed a unique and valuable perspective to help inform the strategic and sustainable growth of UpAuto.

Michael Carmichael, UpAuto's Founder & CEO (and favourite Son of John -- ok fine.....only son of John) is thrilled to welcome his 'Dad' back into the boardroom, "Growing up in a family business is a very unique opportunity. I am thrilled to have the chance to work with my dad again. I can't tell you the number of times I have witnessed and experienced my father's wisdom in action! It is not every day you can capture this learning, and I look forward to future interactions with me and my team on this front. And for the record, I will always refer to him as Dad vs. John." said Michael.
