REEMERGING AND GETTING IT RIGHT!

On Saturday, November 9th, 2024, at the Newmarket Old Town Hall, I will be making my second attempt to emerge as an Independent Artist having left a dress rehearsal on the same stage back in November, 2019. I thought I just needed a few days rest and would be ready to go for the show but I got sicker and none of the doctors could figure out why my lungs were continuing to fill up with fluid. After a few frightening weeks, I thought I was getting better and tried heading back to work but my voice wasn’t the same and within a few days of trying to speak, I lost my voice completely and was in a lot of pain. Concerned I might have vocal nodules, I headed to a specialist and started voice therapy. What happened next? - covid lockdowns, demanding career, ailing parents and family. I left my dream and couldn’t figure out how to get it back.

It has taken me a long time but my voice has healed and completely returned, I have so much new material I have written and recorded, my parents are stable and getting the support they need and I recently decided to leave my full time job and completely dedicate myself to my dream and passion: writing and performing music under my new performance umbrella, Devoted2Song.

On Saturday, November 9th @ 7:30pm, I will be singing and playing that beautiful Steinway grand piano at the Newmarket Old Town Hall with some incredible musicians: Manny DeGrandis on bass, James Brown on guitar and Mark Mariash on drums. We will be performing some of my originals and favourite cover songs. It’s going to be a magical evening and one that I’ve been wishing for for a long time! Ready for take two!
