This just came in the mail and I feel like crying. I remember me and Kumi Miura getting together to work on some tunes on Friday September 5th, 2025 at Noah Sound Studios in Tokyo Japan. I felt like canceling the meeting because I drank heavily the night before and I was hungover. Something kept telling me that I had to go. I was practicing singing to be ready and I was going to sing the tune "Imagine" by John Lennon. The song meant alot to Kumi. Her mother passed away last year and she dedicated the song to her mom.
I knew we were going to play it and I didn't want to let her down. As soon as we got into the studio Kumi pulled out the sheet music and I started to play it on flute. Kumi liked the sound and immediately started to accompany me. We took a few takes and then hit the record button on my cellphone.
I never thought we would be acknowledged so greatly for our time together and this document is the proof I needed today that great things happen when you show up. I am going to keep showing up for my friends, my supporters, my family and myself. It gets hard to show up for yourself but it is totally worth it. Thank You PWJ Family!! Somedays I just don't feel like I am good enough to be in music but if playing a song at any level can bring happiness to one person in this world I feel like I have succeeded in this life.
