There are many steps in preparing platelet rich plasma (PRP). In this photo, Karen, our nurse, is preparing injections for a patient with osteoarthritis, in this case, a “booster” injection two weeks after her initial Fat Transfer + PRP injections. Following the procedure, which is done using ultrasound guidance, Dr. Armstrong will apply a bandaid and the patient will carry on with life as usual and without downtime. Results take weeks to months but approximately 80% of patients experience significant relief. Consultations are covered by a valid OHIP card and no referral is required to book an appointment. www.semisportmed.com
